At twice the distance of the Pinwheel Galaxy and nearby in the night sky, I found this little gem amidst some rather bright stars. Nearly face on, this makes an intriguing image with a fair bit of detail even with my setup.
The night was cold, just a bit more than 10 degrees and my DIY mount motors were not happy. I had to use a hair dryer to thaw out the gears and get running. I selected 240 second subs and captured 2 hours 40 minutes in this stack.
